40 Knots Shrimp Tacos

An elegant dish that is super easy and can come together fast for a filling weeknight dinner!

  • 1 lb. 40 Knots Raw Shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 Tbsp. Barrel & Branch Taco Seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Barrel & Branch Garlic Powder
  • Barrel & Branch Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 14 oz. bagged coleslaw
  • 2 Tbsp. Avocado oil
  • 9 corn tortillas
  • cilantro finely chopped to garnish (optional)

Creamy Shrimp Taco Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Food club Mayo
  • 1 tsp. Lime Juice
  • 1/2 tsp. Barrel & Branch Taco Seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. Barrel & Branch Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Barrel & Branch Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ tsp. Barrel & Branch Black Pepper to taste


In a medium mixing bowl, add taco seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix until combined.

In another bowl, mix yogurt, mayo, taco seasoning, black and cayenne peppers, and lime juice until a creamy sauce forms.

Pour oil into a large skillet on medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the pan and cook until firm and pink on both sides, about 5 minutes.

In a separate bowl, add coleslaw mixed with cilantro (optional), and season generously with salt and pepper. Cover the slaw mixture with the creamy sauce, reserving a little to drizzle on tacos when plating.

Fry or warm the corn tortillas to your liking and assemble shrimp tacos with even amounts of shrimp and slaw. Drizzle with the remaining sauce. Enjoy!
